Default A+ certification...not sure where else to post

I am wanting to get my A+ certification and was checking out Comptia's website. They have changed the tests now where to have to take the A+ Essentials test and then chose between 602, 603, and 604. Anyone know what the difference between these classes are? The descriptions are pretty vague. I want to make sure I take the right ones. I know that there were 2 tests before: 301 was hardware and 302 was OS. Please clear up my confused mind before I lose it. Too much information is making my eyes roll like a slot machine in my head. Insert quarter and pull the handle!!

The old 301/302 exams cover everything from windows 3.1 to xp. The new exams have everything from 2000 onwards, and alot of customer support stuff is thrown in.
