cd writer not detected

i think my computer does not detect my samsung cd writer
i have win-98
it gets detected in the bios but
in windows in device manager it shows Saems#~*

when i put the cd in it shows the size correctly but not the
content

2) You dont know how to burn a cd

Have you ever pondered getting Windows XP? Did the CD Writer ever work before?
