Default CD-ROM drive acting up

I recently inserted an Audio CD into my cd-rom drive and the drive works but it is extremely load and makes funny noises... and when i took out the cd it was warm... any ideas?

Are you sure the CD-Rom Drive works?

Yes 100% sure it works... the cd loads and I can listen to the cd it just makes way too much noise...

Have you tried different CDs? maybe the Cd is unblanced, my friend has a CD that makes alot of noise and it's only that one.

maybe there's something wrong w/ the motor, or it could be that something inside your drive is vibrating and making a noise.
