Default cd/dvd question

What is the difference between mounting something to a cd/dvd and burning it Do you have to do one first then the other or can you just use one or the other?

thx

mounting an image saves CDs and DVDs, while burning it will give you a back up disc where you can store where you want, and delete the file off the HDD.
You can just use one or the other.

so mounting an image will allow you to use whatever image is on the cd or dvd but not store it permanently? If you want it perm, I would have to burn it?

you can kind of store it permanently, it will stay on your HDD till you delete it or it got wiped somehow.
When you mound the Image, it will be like you inserting the original disc in the optical drive.
