Default Which card would be better?

Ok I posted this before but nobody really answered so heres my question again:

what card should I get?

The eVGA GeForce 6800(not GT)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130202

or the eVGA Geforce 6600GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130220

Basically im asking what would be better to get a GeForce 6600GT or a 6800

you should go for the 6600GT... it has more "bang for the buck"
it also has a higher core and memory clock and can probably be oced too. the main differences between the two are that one is 128 bit and one is 256 bit. I don't think you will really see much peformance boost with the 6800 so i say go for the 6600GT. If you decide on SLI go for the dual 6600GT's

ALSO NOTE: the 6800 says it's memory type is only DDR... and the 6600GT says its memory type is GDDR3(i bit of an improvement)

nope... there is still a big gap in between them. The 6600 and 6800 came out a while after the 9800 was released. The 6600 still has it beat.

Im gonna have to disagree on that one. The 9800 that he found has a higher clock speed and more ram(little slower but will make up for it in space). I would def say the 9800

the 6800 would be the best choice here. Alvino's 6800 would beat any 6600GT anyday :P
