I think that is for capturing video and audio from an external source. I don't know if you can use your video card output to record from.

[edit]Doh! I think I need more coffee! Your 360 is an external video source, it should work. From the looks of it, it has composite video or S video inputs as well as stereo.[end edit]

I should work. If you haven't, I would read through all of the customer reviews to see what kind of problems people have had with it. The reviews look good for the most part, But you should read them.

the only problem do i have to use their software they give me becasue my laptop doest have a drive bay

your computer will lag with it. It simply inputs to the USB, which the computer will then change the input into video using graphics card. However netbooks have horrible onboard graphics. So it will lag on top of the latency.
