Can't think of the program, help please!?!?!?!?!

Hi, im trying to think of the program that allows you to change settings and configure the 'imaginary' computer, but it doesnt change the settings of your own computer, obviously?

any ideas?

i cant think what its called.

Try VMware, its a Virtual Machine program, you tell it how much RAM you want it to use, how much HDD space you want the virtual machine to have, etc etc, then install the operating system in that one little window. http://www.vmware.com I think is the URL.

that is exactly the same as virtual PC by microsoft, they are quite good and you cant go wrong with them, which is good!

the bad thing about these virtual machines is that you have to provide the OS before its useful.
