Ok heres the monitors

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001068
Max resolution: 1920x1440
Viewable screen size: 18 inches.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824133165
Max resolution: 2048x1536
Viewable screen size: 20 inches.

Im not sure if the phillips is worth that much money. I really want to be able to play my games at 2048x1536 when i get my Geforce 8xxx when i comes out. But 400 bucks?!? Is it worth the extra 2 inch viewing size and higher resolution?
P.S Please dont reccamend a LCD, a LCD able to take resoolutions as high as these are WAY to much money.

Holy crap. That's a huge price difference. I would get the Samsung 19" CRT. It's incredibly colorful and bright and isn't lower dot pitch always better? In this case Samsung wins. They make great monitors.

Samsung. You get more for you buck. The Philips won't only break your wallet, it might break your back.

Hahahhah... five hundred bucks for a CRT??? That's madness!!!

One of my friends has three of those huge monitors; I have no idea why he is attracted to those, I would rather have a good computer with a 19" lcd. And also, there's no excuse why all monitors dont come with room for a computer system inside; their definitely big enough to.

Go with the 19" Samsung. Why? It's less money, and you wont be as saddened once you throw it away.

yeah, definitely go with the samsung, its more worth the money
the philips is $400 for not even that good of a monitor...and i'm sure you can find a better deal for a monitor like that somewhere else, if you really want to pay your games at 2048x1536 resolution
