You could try, but that reset should have worked, because it does stop power from the battery straight away...
Hmmm... you say the computer switches on thoguh dont you? It powers up, with the hard drives spinning, and fans? If so, it must be something to do with the video port.
If it doesn't start up at all, and thats why the monitor doesn't respond, then its something deeper
