Cant Backspace In Word

I cant backspace more than 1 character at a time in Word 2000. I can in any other program (ex: Excel and IE). It just started a few days ago and it is driving me nuts!!

well there is something at the bottem called OVR, double click that i think.

as dishdog said try reinstalling word. I mean sometimes programs can be like that. Once with adobe photoshop i couldnt use the text tool anymore so i had to reinstall. and this is a microsoft program so ur even more unlucky. if you reinstall and it still doesnt work use wordpad or download open office free from www.openoffice.org

Thanks guys and ya i have to agree with Dishdog open office SUCKS!!!

I will try to reinstall it. Is there a way to save the settings in word? I have Word 2000

save ur documents and make sure the registry entiries dont go. and also open office doesnt suck for the price its alot better than word and stuff if it were priced
