Default Can you reuse a CPU?

This is pretty much pure curiosity. Would I be able to take my processor off my current mobo and reinstall it onto another? Or is it pretty much a done deal?

Dumb question, but I don't know the answer so.

As long as the other mobo supports it, ex. same socket sure you can
