Default Can someone tell me what kind of laptop this is?

I know this sounds bad, and i made a thread on it b4. But i still have that damn laptop and i figured out why it gets sooo damn hot and then shuts down. The fans on the bottom of the laptop turn on when the laptop turns on then about 5 seconds later they both shut off!!!

So now i am wondering if someone could possibly tell me what laptop model i have which will benefit me in getting the right fans for the damn thing and also installing the right drivers. The bad is that the barcode on the back of the laptop is ripped off, and when i went on to control panel to look up system info it didnt give me a serial number or say wat kind of laptop it is.

I can tell u that the laptop on --- my computer ---- properties it says it has a 3.2 gh P4 processor and 1gb ddr ram thats pretty much all that i remember . But ne help is appreciated and i will be back on later tonite to check this thread out to see if ne one saw it or wanted to help!!

SO THANKS AGAIN

o and btw i am currently uploading pics on photobucket so i can show u what the laptop looks like if that helps ne one out at all.

My laptop, which is also a toshiba gets hot too, but the fans ALWAYS run.
In my manual, it doesnt saying anyting about the fans coming off, i think they might be built into the mb.
Good Luck

Hi, it looks like a Satellite Series to me. I'm not sure which one, though. Sorry! Good luck, though.

Sorry to hear that, but at least you have an idea of what kind of laptop you have now. You can try using a cooling pad for the laptop so it doesn't overheat until you figure out how to fix the fans. Good Luck!

rohan23, if you notice in the 2nd post (right under the original post) it's already been established that it was a Satellite Series ... in fact, it was narrowed down to a P30 or P35 model.

Lets not repeat what's already been posted/suggested within the thread. Please provide new information that might further assist members with their issues.

There should be a model number somewhere on the laptop, like on a sticker on the bottom, have you looked for that?
