@ OP, the graphics card will be holding you back. Like the others said, medium high at a resolution of 1280x1024 or lower, medium at 1600x1200 or higher.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 4.0GHz + TU120E lapped - MSI 770-CD45 AM3 - 2x2GB OCZ DDR3 1333MHz - Sapphire HD 4870 - Samsung Spinpoint 500GB 7200RPM 16MB cache HDD - Tagan TG600-BZ Piperock - (Currently open test bed) - Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.

oh yeah, and what resolution do you play on, an OS.

EDIT - did you do a benchmark? or did you play the actual game?
Played the actual game, on 1280x1024. My specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
2GB Corsair XMS2 PC2-6400 RAM
Inno3D 9600GT Armor

One thing I should probably point out here is that I have hardly any background processes running. Having spent time as a Linux user, I've learned to enjoy it when my system doesn't steal up a lot of resources, so I've cancelled a lot of things that run on startup that I don't need in order to minimise the load on my CPU before running any games or applications.
