Is there a way to run windows 7 off of a drive that is connect via a usb connection? i have a 200gb hd that i would like to try windows 7 on but its connected through a converter that goes from sata to usb
Yeah, I believe you can do that. Just keep in mind you'll only be able to use the win7 on the computer you're installing it on even though it's a separate HD. Speaking of W7, I'm burning the RC to a disk as we speak.
Yes you can. I was running it off of my external eSATA drive for about 2 weeks till I got my Vista reinstalled and where it needed to be. Worked just fine for me. However, I have not tried it with USB, so who knows. It might still work, but it's going to be slower, I'm sure.
