http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/ can be booted from a USB pen drive!

Do the same thing you got yours to boot, if that worked. What did you do?

Windows 98 could easilly. It'll fit on a 256 without many problems, and there are ways to make it take up next to no space. Of course, much less than about 200M and you loose all the functionality of it.

my teach has a 1 gig and he says that it would be small enough that it would fit but reading all this i still have reservations bout him doing anything yet i also realize that questions arise bout a graphics processer among other much needed components i've sent him all ur responses so we will continue 2 watch and respond with intrest thanx
