i have a 500 g sata hard drive
can i plug my other hard drive threw ide and will is still work?

I don't know, but i saw someones sig that said they had a SATA drive and an IDE drive in their comp. So i would say yes

Yes, you can safely mix IDE (PATA) and SATA drives. I've done it many times.

Yerp all good.

Make sure in the bios that you have the sata booting first.

i have vista on my 500 but my old comps got all my files and xp on the hd so i hooked that up
