Default Camera as webcam

Hi i have a HP Photosmart E317 digital camera and i was wondering if i could use it as a webcam? i have a small $15 digital camera that works but it doesn't have a mic and the mic i have doesn't have the right end for my computer. would there be a way i could use my actual digital camera as a webcam?

thanks,
lhamil64

Not sure about the camera, it should tell u in the manual? or on the website. However, the mic u have, sounds like u mean the Jack is too big? u can buy adapters that make the jack into the pc sized 3.5 inch for next to nothing.

I have a Canon Powershot A75 and I think I read somewhere that you can use it as a webcam. Good way to use up the batteries though.
