Cable modem through USB or Ethernet??

I am in the process of hooking up my cable modem and im not sure which way would be better... I have a Linksys cable modem and it says it can be hooked up by USB or Ethernet, Which one would be better and faster or does it matter??

USB is more portable because its not wireless...or is it?

Ethernet is generally faster than USB.

I don't know if its on all computers But I saw a signifigant difference In the performance when plugged from the usb into the ethernet, Ethernet being the faster and more stable of the two

Yeah, Ethernet is much more stable as its directly connected not through waves and that is the same reason its faster.
