Whether it's cable or adsl means nothing when it comes to the router. as long gives out an WAN ip adress, dns, and gateway, it will work. Just plug the ethernet cable from your modem into the router, and then plug all the comptuers into the router. The router I have, is being used on my DSL internet connection, whereas a friend of mine has an identical router on his comcast cable connection.
