Default buying a replacement CPU.

I may need to buy a replacement CPU for my computer.

The part number of my CPU is:ada3200aep5ap

Do I have to buy the same exact part number CPU or can I get something like a ADA3200DIK4BI

How does this work.

you can upgrade. how much are you looking to spend? the key is that the socket (754) matches up.

The ADA3200DIK4BI will not be compatible as it's a socket 939 processor.

Your ada3200aep5ap is a socket 754 processor. So you will be limited to looking for socket 754 CPUs.
