Hi, I was looking into buying a computer for a long time. right now i have a p3 1ghz, 384 mb ram, 32 or 64 mb graphics all in wonder radeon. Right now it works good for what im doing but I want the enjoyment of building a computer from scratch as i did with this one im typing on now. And i want a faster computer for games like HL2 and Halo 2 if it comes to pc. so enough talk, i want to know if these parts will work good together or if you have any other suggestions. i am on a tight bugdet.

i do not have a video card decided yet, i want to get either a 6800 gt or x800 pro when the prices go down a litte.

The total on newegg with shipping is $684.70 I have speakers, keyboard, mouse, and monitor so i think there is nothing left except cd/dvd drive (which i might have an extra so i dont want to get one just yet), video card, and sound card maybe.

Thanks in advance for all your imput.

Good CPU. Will serve you good. I would reccomend corsoir for RAM, but I suppose kingmax will be good too.

If you can go over your budget a little I would suggest the 3500+ winchester for s939 and then an nforce4 mobo when they come out, but if you can't pull out the extra cash then you'll survive with what you picked since it's all really good. Oh and if you do pick that cpu, I would pick the asus K8N-E Deluxe mobo instead.

morpheus, i dont have much more money to spend on a 100-200 dollar case and psu so i want to keep that down. but i might just buy all the parts and keep them in there boxes untill i get more money for a better case but then i think i should not buy now cause the prices for everything else will go down too.

lol I agree but you could go for something lower than what you are aiming for and then upgrade
