Default Buying a Comp

Hi all,

My sister is buying a computer (desktop) she needs it for basic word functions and the internet-so she wants a capable computer at a affordable price-not too powerfull and not too slow-so can anyone recommend what specs to go for and wht price should she pay for it?

I recommomend http://ibuypower.com for good computers that are inexpensive.

An athlon xp system should do fine.

I live in the uk- i knw where she wants to buy frm and its pc world- I know I have told her of other places but she insists she wants to buy frm there-so knowing that what would be the best option she wud be willing to pay 1000.-so she is nt encouraged to buy things she does not need

You only need around 400 for a word processing kind of system, that may come wth a prinetr etc.

If you are serious about buying from pc world then go for there systems ADVENT. decent specs and very fairly priced and the are well put together.
