There are ways around making copies of software for "backup" purposes. Let's just call it that, hehe. Look around the web for disc copy utilities and you'll find some nice ones.

Yeah but why would ya download a DVD image if ya havent got a DVD drive? Ya would just download the CD Images and burn them instead

because you don't have to burn it to use it.

You can create a virtual DVD drive with Daemon Tools / Alchool 120%
