EDIT: yes I have good ram and stuff just wondering if the motherboard and that processor could create anything good

Not really a good gaming computer. Everything there is so outdated and super slow in terms of gaming goes. Better to get up to date and use a Pentium 4 with Hyper Threading of course or a Pentium D if you want dual core. Use Socket LGA775 and use the 9xx express chipsets by Intel to utilize PCI-express.

Try to go Pentium 4 or higher if you're going to be gaming. Celerons are only good for basic tasks like internet browsing or casual movie watching/music listening etc.

first off dont go intel for gaming ( not good as AMD ) and socket 478 wouldnt be as good as like a 754 as i have or a 939.

what about Athlon XP 2500+ or higher

and is a athlon xp better than a P4

The bigger number the socket is the better? Example: socket370 is not as good as a socket 940
