I am about to build a pc, but need some advice about a motherboard. I will probably be using a AMD Sempron PR3000+ Socket 754, but I don't know which motherboard to use. Here are the outline specs :

AMD Sempron PR3000+
512MB Crucial Memory (any type)
Hightech ATI Radeon 9200SE 128MB
Hauppauge WinTV-Go TV Tuner card
Win XP Pro

Anyone know a good mobo which would be compatible for all these?

All apart from one of them are designed for AMD Athlon 64s only. Does that mean the Sempron would work with the mobo or not?

As well, is it worth paying more for an Athlon 64, rather than a Sempron?

i denno what u mean by paying "more".

the amd64 2800 is only marginally more than a sempron, and so yes it is worth it.

The higher end semprons use the socket 754, the old athlon 64 standard.

So those motherboards would work.

I've had a look around. The Sempron is actually just a rename of the XP, but designed for Socket A rather than Socket 754s.

I am now being confused by graphics cards. The board I have chosen (Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe) has the chipset NVidia nForce2 Ultra 400.

What graphics cards should I be looking at? I have around $125 to spend on the card.

EDIT : I have found a graphics card, the SAPPHIRE RADEON 9800SE ATLANTIS. How do I know if it will work???
