Okay...that's about how much my system is without all my nice extras. The links are just for reference, newegg only ships to the U.S.

Core 2 Duo E6600 - $225
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115003

Abit AB9 Pro motherboard - $140
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127004

2 GB DDR2-800 Corsair/Crucial/Kingston/OCZ - $130
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145034

500 watt Silverstone PSU - $90
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256008

Seagate Barracuda Perpendicular Recording 500GB hard drive - $150
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148151

XFX GeForce 8600GTS - $190
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150228

Comes out to $920 USD. Not Bad at all for a top of the line gaming rig. Add a case, DVD burner, etc. and it'll be right around $1,000. If you want to get a bit better video card with the extra money, get this:

Haha you're welcome. Remember though, since you're in Australia you're gonna have to find a different vendor. Newegg has awesome prices, so it may end up being a little more expensive from somewhere else.

the ddr3 means that the ram in the video card is ddr3, it doesn't matter which ram you have in your pc.
