Hello, was hoping to get some advice on parts to choose for a gaming computer (nothing super great). I don't know too much about hardware but this is what I got so far
http://pcpartpicker.com/au/p/3phc - not sure on choosing a motherboard, will the cheap one do? - what should i be looking at when comparing graphics cards? - is 700W enough for the power supply? - is the i7 worth the extra ~$100? thanks in advance

Cheaping out on a motherboard and a power supply are a good way to get a paperweight.
That being said, the power supply you have chosen is "OK" and the motherboard should probably be upgraded to something a little more impressive. The brand is fine, but try finding a board that is not rated so low. Depending on what you want to do with the system, the i5 is plenty. |
