AMD RULES said:when I play BF2, I use 1.55GB
yeah, bf 2 needs more than 1GB of ram to work well.

I have an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ at 1.8GHz and its overclocked to 2.4GHz with an idle temp of 25 degrees C and barely moves under load for some reason.
u might want to check the temp sensor. The temp should increase quite much when gaming, and the 25C when running at 2.4Ghz sounds quite weird. (unless u have some awesome cooling)
And I'd definitely go for a Core 2 Duo cpu. Then something like a 7600GT and 2Gb of some good quality ram.
