Building computer!! need help urgently!!

i just got all of the parts for my computer today and im having trouble closing the lid on top of my i7. i have an msi x58 pro-e motherboard, im sure that i put it in the right way because it wouldnt fit in any other way. it seems like the lid for it is sticking up and its taking waaay too much force to close it. here are some pics:

does anyone know what my problem could be?

to much force to get it into the socket?

or to much force to get the HSF on?
because HSFs are on tight so they need alot of pressure to get on.

sorry about the double post, it wouldnt load anything in chrome so i refreshed and it reposted. i fixed the problem with my CPU not going in properly but now im wondering if anyone knows how to set up RAID 0 on MSI motherboards, specifically the pro-e x58.
