If you have the money to get the FX55 and 2GB RAm go for it. Less you have to upgrade in the future.

True, you won't need to upgrade for a long time, but you can still get great processors for hundreds of dollars less and it won't need to be upgraded for a long time. Some stuff is just overkill if you ask me.

Everything is compatible. As for the power supply, anything higher than 400 Watts would be nice.

Do not use the fan and heatsink supplied with the processor. use a better brand and some arctic silver paste.

Okay, thanks guys for all the replies.

As to why I don't want to get a better video card, my friend might give me his 9800 Pro if he gets a new card, so I really don't need the top-of-the-line since I don't do that much intense gaming.

And as someone previously mentioned, I probably won't need to upgrade for a long time.
