8ms is fine for most things. Just don't go above 12ms. If you're gonna waste money for some 2ms monitor, forget it. But, yes...you need DVI.

Hey, you know that X2 4600+? I don't know if it's a typo or something, but check this out. Newgg's 4600+ is more expensive that Fry's, which I find strange. It's $265.
