If you want a DVD/CD burner, the cheapest would be a LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R for $24.99.

Just a basic DVD/CD reader would be a ASUS Black 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM for $14.99

I think he should go with a DVD/CD reader. Do you know how long it would take to burn something on a 200 dollar comp?

ahh thank you...now just to make the final list and ill see what it totals at.
oh yeah, i need to add windows xp to it so that will add a little more.


about the monitor..Do you think im better off spending like $40 more for a nice LCD monitor?
