Id recomend a dual core system. I mean if you can spend a lot, might as well get dual core. you can play a game and run AIM or a virus scan in the background

Also, i think its worthless to get a kickass sound card with no kickass speakers so if you dont have like a 5.1 sound system, no need for a sound card.

so you are saying that the sound depends more on your speakers then your sound card???

if u had a good sound card it would still sound better with bad speakers than it would with a bad sound card. and also sound card gives u better fps in games.
