Default building an apple?

Can you custom build a macintosh? I've just been wondering this for a couple days, it doesn't seem like you can cause I've seen no one whos done it...

yes you can build an intel mac

what would you be using it for?

and you need a hacked version of the operating system

The Overclocker's site required too much customizing. I was just reading it and it gave me a headache. I'm sure hard core hardware fans would love to give it a try. Not for me--I rather just buy a Mac PC. I'm like what the hell is this?!

dude that guide was for building a powerpc mac

he wants to build a intel mac

In that case, just build a Core Duo PC and install Mac OS X on it.

yea but you need a specific chipset and a motherboard that is supported :P

Yet they used soo many mac parts, thats just butchering a bunch of PC's and macs

Anyways for installing it on a PC, hacked copys are illegal and do not like upgrades apple releases.

I'm not gonna build one, I was just wondering cause there are so many custom PC's runnign windows, I was just wondering if anyone ever custom built pc's for OSX
