Do you think this setup is worth $999 or can i get better?

get a E6300 or E6400 they offer almost the same performance if you overclock them good enough compared to a mild overclcock on the E6600 and with the extra cash but a 640MB 8800GTS

the 320MB version benches just a bit higher than the 7950GT but its DX10 with the 640MB version it will be able to bench a lot higer than the 7950GT

I would definitely get faster RAM, that'll slow you down. Get some 800MHz. And I'd get a better PSU. You absolutely cannot underestimate the importance of a power supply. Look into Corsair, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, etc. And like rudster said, I'd get the E6400 instead of the E6600 and that'll get you the extra cash if you want the 640 MB card.

Your computer is only as fast as your slowest component, I think the e6400 would be able to tackle the 8800GTS pretty well.
I like your case selection btw, sturdy, my friend uses one of those.

Only thing is i'd get a different powersupply, rosewill isn't very known for reliable power supplies, I'd get something from OCZ or FSP.

I would not reccomend that power supply at all. I had it ordered and then posted on the forums some about getting a 8800gts and they did not reccomend it. One guy in the forums said something about the psu like this 2% of the cost 25% of the problems. I decided to get a ocz 700 watt supply but is probably out of your price range.
