Can anyone review my build to see if all is compatible?

I need advice/confirmation that my build will be successful.
Overclocking isnt my priority, but a nice to have to tweak when I have time.
I will most-likely be running Windows 8 for developers (or 7 if theres too much software problems).

My main questions about this build:
Will the heatsink fit with the motherboard and tower chosen?
Selected RAM will fit with the selected heatsink?
Did I pick something that isnt reliable?
Anything to change or suggest?

Note: Unfortunately I can only use Newegg.ca

Everything looks good. The heat sink will work fine w/ the mobo and ram. Do you have a budget that you're working with?

What are you going to be doing with this system? I think 16gb of ram is a bit of overkill myself, although it's not that expensive you could still save a little money if you just had 8 gb of ram, which should be plenty.

I was wondering why mu post disappeared.
I don't have a specific budget, however I would like too keep it under 1500$ while keeping good optimization of performance/price.

Going from 8Gig to 16Gig is 17$. 4Gig is usually enough. Memory is cheap for the performance boost it gives when necessary. I'm thinking of starting some online HD video and all the ram you can get is usually best.

There's a good combo on Newegg.ca with the processor and the motherboard for a rebate of 36$ and on top of that I think they handle the mail-in-rebates themselves since they remove the mail-in-rebate from the combo price (-56$).

FWIW, I do a lot of video work and I barely max even 8GB. But as you said, with prices where they are, $17 is not a whole lot to double up the RAM.

We just hate to see folks get stuff they'll never use.
