Default budget pc.

my friend recently had his computer's psu blowout, which fried his motherboard so he wants me to build him a new computer. i want to keep the price of it relatively low and i think i'm going to keep his 1gig of ram so that'll lower costs a bit. he wants to keep his hard drive which id IDE i think so i'm not sure if he wants a new hdd but that'll be up to him.
so far this is what i've come up with
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131569
mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103535
cpu

vid card

the most demanding game he plays is CoD2 so i figured the 6600GT is alright, i was thinking maybe he could get the 7600GT but it's a bit more pricey, is the extra money worth the performance difference?

if he only plays call of duty 2, the 6600gt should do fine, but yeah, you'll definitely see an increase with the 7600gt

Getting a good wattage, cases aren't that big of a deal. Frankly all my customer PSUs come with xilence power supply. They are cheap and have two choices 400 W and 480 W and IDK if you could find them online.

In answer to your question: yes, its worth the money different. Because you will be getting framerates high enough, and you will be unloading textures hella fast. And the 12 pixle pipelines is great for the data amound that the game will produce.

All in all, its fine on a 6600, but its great on the 7600, you will notice a jump in performance, just because everything will be alot smoother.
