Default Budget Build

Ok I'm working on a budget of around $500-$600.

I am buying/building a computer for someone. They just want an "everyday" computer and they'll be doing some online gaming. Nothing to intense, they can run the game now with onboard video if they turn the graphics all the way down, though there is some lag.

Here's what I've found (all from New Egg). This is my first build, so I think I've got everything. What do you guys think?

CASE/PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811148030

MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157115

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115037

CPU COOLING: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835200012

VIDEO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102730

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136075

RAM (x2): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144151

LCD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824254005

DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151188

Funny that it adds up to about $599.

Nice selection! [or so I thought...]

I wonder if Master Jedi Atomic Rooster can shave anything off the price tag. [He is a Master computer component Jedi!] That looks like a very economical build. I don't think I could do better.

[AR, you have been challenged!]

That's not a bad selection of parts for a general use computer

I played around with your list a bit and came up with this:

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale

Foxconn ELA LGA 775 Intel P45 Motherboard

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3320613AS 320GB

ASUS GeForce 9600 GSO

LG Black 22X DVD+R

Rosewill R5717 BK Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 450W Power Supply

Total - $537.92

Thanks for all the opinions so far. I think I will look into combining some of the ideas and blend all the posts so far together.
