hello fellow geek and geekets lol erm im fixing somone pc and when the computer is turned on it gets to the windows xp loading part and after that a flash of the blue screen of death and it reboots i cant enter safe mode either so the only option is to reinstall xp right ?

That, like most things, is relevant. If you don't mind losing all the files that may be saved on the drive, go ahead. It'll only take an hour or so, and it wont hurt. the bsod on boot is usually a bad windows file, so a reinstall is a good bet. If you want to save the files, thats also an easy fix.

Try booting to an XP CD and repairing the Windows files:

If that works, then you don't lose all your data.

HE cant enter safe mode
Try a repair with the windows XP Cd if you have it

Didnt notice that, ive just woke up lol

Why cant you enter safemode? Can you get to the advanced boot options screen? If you can then try last known good config.

yeh i tried the last known good config didnt work erm ill just doa repair from the xp disc then thanks all
