Default Broad Band ready?

This is a dumb question i think
how can u tell if your computer is Broadband ready

Not sure what you mean, any comp can handle broadband, it just depends if you have a ethernet card.

or a usb port....my dsl modem will work off usb

You just need a Ethernet or USB port. I recommend the former, because USB ports require special drivers and what not. Other than that, there isn't much broadband requires.
