Bootvis is a program made by Microsoft that helps your PC boot up faster.
Its been around for a while, I have used it for years.

you can get it here.

http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...load-3465.html

and if you want more info go here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootvis

and drumthrasher

for you do these 2 things in order then try to run it again.

1. How to Run Check disk in windows XP (by LambofGod)

Go to start, run, type “cmd”, make sure you are on your root drive (usually C:\), type “chkdsk /f”, type “Y” .

Then restart your system

*if you are not on your root drive type “cd C:\ “ assuming C:\ = your root drive*

3. How to defrag a harddrive in windows XP (by LambOfGod)

Go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, disk defragmentor.

Select the drive you want to defrag and press “defrag”

(this may take a while)

Defraging once a day is overkill.
