Hi

I've got a computer. Dell. When I turn it on it takes about 4-5 mins to detect the Hard Drive. If i unplug the hard drive It boots fast but says no boot devices found, so when i plug it back in, it is really slow. Ive updated the bios but still no help. Anyone help speed it up, how can i speed it up? Please help

Kind Regards

Yeah - sounds like the drive is on its way to Hard Drive Heaven up in the Sky, where everything is oiled properly, everything is happy, and there's no constant downloading in sight.

buy a new drive theyre dirt cheap and it will solve your problem. if youve had the drive out check the jumpers are set correctly and that the ide cable is securely connected but it sounds like hard drive failure to me
