Newbie here with a boot up problem. First of all my system is:
EVGA 680i mboard, 2.4 6600 cpu
3g OCZ memory
nvidia 7600 GT video
XFi extreme music
Problem: I first tried a dual boot system (xp, vista) and kept having problems at boot up with it not reading the hard drive (can't find OS). Eventually it quit working at all so I figured the drive was bad. Replaced it with Seagate 320g SATA II. Installed Vista Ultimate only. Everything was working fine for a while and then I starting getting that same error again.
Put in the Vista cd and did a repair. It reported a bad/missing boot partition. Fixed it and now it is working again -- but for how long?
Can anyone suggest anything I might can check? All of the drivers and bios updates are up to date.
