Default boot up help

when i start my comp, it gets to the windows splash screen and restarts...and it continues to do this until i turn it off.

does anyone have any idea how to fix this or how i can get into my comp to save some docs. I have a windows xp disk and plan to reformat and reinstall but i want to save the info on the HD to CD before i do.

Thanks

u could always just reinstall windows without reformatting. That way it will only reinstall windows and leave all of ur files on the hdd.

To save your information you can put the hard drive in the other computer, OR you can just run a free downloadable LiveCD of Knoppix, which will allow you to access your hard drive without entering Windows:
