Boot up error

i recently dual booted with windows 2000 and windows xp. now i removed win 2000 and at start-up i get an error saying

Invalid boot.ini file. booting from C:/Windows

anyway how do i remove this or make it stop as it slows down my boot up time.i just want to to boot into windows xp normally. anyone?

hmm it shouldnt have done that. you may have edited the boot.ini wrong.

yea just go to that thread. or if you cba you just need to load the xp cd during the boot up, go to recovery console. then type: bootcfg /list and after bootcfg /rebuild
