Default boot.ini

where is boot.ini on my system? i looked on the root of the C:\ drive but i cant find it. and yes, i looked through the hidden folders too. any idea where it is? i also used the search function on win xp, and i enabled "search hidden files"

Isnt the TAB "boot.ini" in msconfig?

Command prompt. "cd\" -enter "dir" im at work and i have limited access to things, so i dont know if that will help.

Just go to Start/Run, type in msconfig and the boot.ini tab is in there. Careful what you are changing though!

start - run - cmd
type (without quotes) "attrib c:\boot.ini -s -h -r"
it will now appear in c:\
