[FONT="Verdana"]Hi,

Currently my computer is located only a short distance (2 to 3 metres) from my wireless modem and usually has a good connection, however I am about to move my computer to the back of the house about 20 metres away and as I only have the one phone connection (sorry can't add another) I am worried that I will have a very poor to non existant reception once I move it.

Does anyone have any idea's of anything that would boost the signal????

Thanks

Maximum range for Wifi is around 30 meters give or take, which means you should be fine almost anywhere in your house. If not, you could look into connecting a Cat5 cable to your router and across the room, and attaching a WAP to it.

In a single room, unless its a 100 metre by 100 metre hall, signal isn't going to be a problem. In small offices, a single WAP can feed a whole floor of the building.

If your router and modem are in the same room as your computer; it wouldnt be too much hassle to just use wired ethernet anyway/
