Default bluetooth question??

is anyone familiar with bluetooth dial up modems ??????
no? i didn't think so!!
well here is my question if aanyone is.
i have a broadband connecton into my home, however my sister in law has only dial up in her home. i have been setting up a laptop for her to use in her home. she wants to go wireless, so i have set up a bluetooth 56k modem, accompanied with a dongle.
now the laptop and dongle are communicating with the zoom modem, i know this because when i try to connect to the internet i can hear the modem trying to dial up the connection. in fact im sure it talks to the other end. but it always fails to connect!
could this be anything to do with the fact that my phone line is broadband enabled?
any help will be greatly apreciated.

just in case anyone ever reads this for refference.
the bluetooth router has now gone to wales, and is working smoothly.
it has coverage in all areas of the house, the walls are 2ft thick in places and it has no problem passing them.
alls well that ends well.
