Black Screen?

When i start up my computer everything is fine until after the XP loading page. Then when there is supposed to be a loggin page, my screen goes black, and i have to go to safe mode and restore it. help please?

do you have a integrated video card and running a regular video card (more than on type bus)

No, i do not have an integrated video card. I only have a regular video card and it's not running on multip[le busses.

ok goto BIOS and switch the video card driver to AGP or PCI express ) which ever one you are using right now.
