Black Screen

I had a dial up modem installed and when I Turn (first time since the modem was installed) on the computer it goes to a black screen and box stating power save mode appears for a second or 2 square then to black screen (it does appear that the computer stays on).

Please help :confused

It sounds like the computer isn't detecting your monitor. I still remember my old Gateway monitor say the same thing if the monitor gets disconnected "Power Saving Mode". Double check the monitor connections and make sure the video card is snug.

Try taking the modem off. If it works, go to the BIOs and make sure that the LANring doesn't interfere with something
